Web3 Nov 2012 · Nov 2, 2012. #1. On my quest to find a new set of humbuckers for my Les Paul 50's tribute I've narrowed it down to the seth lover or antiquity set from seymour duncan. I want something that will really shine when played through my new Twin Reverb. Squeaky clean and classic. I realize that the seth lover and antiquity are both seth lover designs. One exception: 1/8" from bass side of neck pickup to underside of the low E. That's what I do, to start with, but not sayin' necessarily what anyone else should do. blueman335.

The Seth Lover succeeds. Tonally, it is similar to the Antiquities except that there is a little more of the midrange "honk" within the tone as well as some more bite on the top end.

They had a certain amount of twang to them. Bass notes were soft and round sounding to me.
