Webb15 sep. 2024 · CNC porting is a copy of the best porting within the casting minimized dimensions that the shop developed or often times, paid a professional to do it. (It's a lot cheaper to use a 5 axis and blow out copies all day) The OEM heads are spectacular. There are a LOT of places porting hemi heads now. Katech is probably the cheapest. Webb17 dec. 2024 · He has a dvd of instructions on porting the E7 heads for about 40 HP and about 75 HP with a good matching intake setup. I bought the dvd and it is good. It's a little dry watching someone port heads for an hour+, but the info he gives is excellent. I was amazed at the amount if material safely removed from these heads! Bruce

Webb18 juni 2024 · From my previous thread, I chose to port the "already ported" GMPP CNC LS9 cylinder heads. I blued the ports to compare what did or did not clean up from our porting services. The results showed that the Katech port has improved surface finish and larger port volumes. The shape of the port also differs from the GM designed port.
