WebMar 17, 2024 · I have a manual 2024 500 pop with about 40k miles. Last night, I tried to downshift from second to first and heard a "thunk!" and then the shifter dangled loose. Since the car was stuck in 2nd gear I was able to turn around a return home and park it. The car starts fine although it's had a recurring check engine light lately. It's stuck in 2nd.
