WebApr 9, 2013 · I'm using a 2004 1500 hemi now and get 17-18mpg highway @ 65mph with 500-800 lbs in my bed. I'm hoping it will be around the same if not better in the 2012 with that 6 speed trans. I was able to find a dodge 2500 crew cab long bed with hemi in the ST work model. got approved earlier. Going in tomorrow to make a decision. WebRam 2500 6.4 vs 5.7 Hemi Mpg. On average I see 13 mpg +/- 1 mpg depending on how much extra city driving I do over my average. Best I have seen is 14 on a 150 mile round trip. To me using tow/haul while driving I seem to get the best mpg. I think the hemi likes 2k rpm …
