Lodgers in England & Wales are typically what is known as a “licencee”, which essentially means the lodger can only stay as long as the landlord allows. WebLodgers who share a kitchen, bathroom or other living accommodation with the landlord are considered “excluded occupiers” and so can be evicted easier than tenants.
